Established in 1946 by the present owner's father, H. W. Poulter & Son remains a family business. We have an extensive stock of English and French antique fireplaces of the 18th and 19th century period. We also so stock accessories for antique fireplaces. Our vast experience and knowledge have enabled us to work on such prestigious projects as Syon House, Clarence House, National Heritage, National Trust, Tudor House, Cliveden, Claridges, Sydmonton Court Estate, Cherkley Court. We have always been associated with the antique fireplace, chimneypiece, mantelpiece - however you may wish to describe the decorative surround to the fire opening.

Over 60 years of trading we have had in stock and worked on some of the finest period fireplaces in marble, stone and wood. We specialise in antique fireplaces and antique chimneypieces, however we do stock some fine quality reproductions of antique chimneypieces and fire grates. As well as carrying a stock of antique and reproduction fireplaces and accessories we also have very a good reputation for Marble and Stone restorations. Our workshop undertakes all aspects of restoration and cleaning to marble or stone fireplaces, antique
marble tops, busts, statues, inlaid marble. We supply marble tops and bases to specification and stock a good selection
of rare marbles.
